11A - Idea Napkin No. 1

  1. Who I am - I am a soon-to-be graduate from the University of Florida with a major in Business Administration as well as a minor in Event Management. Most of my experience in business comes from my four years of college and six years of customer service experience in different businesses. I aspire to be a business owner one day and should this solution of mine succeed I imagine it becoming a full-time job of mine to ensure it stays up to date and running smoothly in order to generate revenue.
  2. What I am offering to customers - What I have to offer to customers is a simple solution to long lines at the drive-thru of any restaurant. I will create an app that offers real time updates of local drive-thru lines, quicker alternatives to your desired restaurant and much more.
  3. Who I am offering it to - This app will be catered to the fast-paced, always busy individual that utilizes drive-thru lines regularly in order to save time and money. Since it is a technology-based app it will be geared toward people under 70 years old. Customers will, of course, have to be able and willing to drive so will have to be at least 16 years old.
  4. Why do they care? - customers will pay me money to use this service because I am creating value for them through the saving of time. This app would also ease the stress of its users when it's time for them to pick up a quick meal.
  5. My core competencies - I think what sets me apart from others is the ability to come up with a solution to such a wide reaching issue. My ability to perfect the solution and adapt to customer needs as I see fit will allow me to stand out from the rest.
I believe that these elements of my solution fit together for the most part. The one problem I am currently trying to solve is coming up with more value-creating components for the app that will warrant customers wanting to pay money for the services that this app provides.I do believe it is the correct solution to the problem but I will find it difficult to execute perfectly and make it stand out as something that truly will create value in people's lives.

  1. Kristen,
I feel like after the COVID-19 pandemic began, many businesses, especially food chains, learned how to adapt in order to keep profits rolling in. Many of them offer the buy online, pick up in store, so how can you differentiate yourself from them? I think you can be very successful if you're able to develop a new source of technology that places like Grubhub and BiteSquad haven't already utilized.

  2. Hi Kristen! I think this is a great idea! Because of the pandemic, many places, like Starbucks, have lines out the parking lot and waiting can be time-consuming. To add a little more value to your product, maybe also try to include wait-times of popular dine-in restaurant chains, such as Chilis or Olive Garden, or local restaurants that are big in the area, as well as fast food locations.
